FilmFish - June Winners

Posted by Film Fish on

We are excited to announce that the first month of the FilmFish competition was a great success. Big thank you to everyone who took the leap and got involved from the get go. Now that the competition is underway you will continue to see fun and exciting improvements to the layout each month, as the event continually evolves to better suit our participants from all over Australia.

“WELCOME TO THE FILMFISH FAMILY”

All fish entered throughout the month have been added to the SCF Recreational Fishing Citizen Science Data Base. Each individual photo is analysed for fish health issues such as cloudy eye, skin defects, previous injuries, parasites. Over the past three years SCF has become the largest Citizen Science collector for recreational fishing and with your help will continue to have the most accurate understanding of waterways across Australia.

Throughout the month young anglers like Alfie Bowman and his mates from Redcliffe submitted fish for the first time. We also spent some time filming with Scotty Hillier from ‘Creek to Coast,’ to help grow exposure for the competition as well as discussing and raising awareness about the importance of Citizen Science.

Here are a handful of awesome glory shots our competitors have entered throughout the month. Each and everyone of these contestants have a great chance of winning the boat package!
